This course is intended to expand our students’ computer skills that are necessary for success in everyday life regardless of a given career path. The broad range of topics will span from basic computer hardware and software to business productivity applications and Internet technology. Students will explore such topics as encryption, information theory, how a computer works, and how these ideas allow us to communicate digitally. Students will create professional quality projects using various Google Apps; such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms. Finally, students will explore basic coding using a visual block system.
Students will need a reliable laptop with wireless for units 2 and 3.
