Storybook class will explore the wonderful, exciting world of children’s literature!! Each class period will be a theme-based fifty minutes of reading and discussion. No one is ever too old for a delightful picture book! We will meet new friends and learn about amazing things along the way! Some of the topics we will explore are: seasons, holidays, community helpers, animals, pets, friends, and family, along with several well-known children’s authors: Eric Carle, Kevin Henkes, Rosemary Wells, and many others. This class is designed to be a delightful happy hour spent reading and will, hopefully, help to instill in your child a love of and desire to read. “There is no substitute for books in the life of a child!” -May Ellen Chase This class is primarily a story hour designed to encourage and enhance early reading skills. This class does not require the purchase of any books or materials on the part of the parent. To participate in the class all children must be at least 3 years old by August, completely potty trained, and able to sit for a reasonable period of time.
