Course Description: Accepted as 1 credit for high school. This course focuses on the standard topics of algebra: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative numbers, inequalities and absolute values, linear equations and their graphs, graphing linear inequalities, measurements of central tendency, exponents, adding, subtracting and multiplying polynomials, factoring, functions, introduction to matrices and radicals. Students will receive semester grades based on participation in class discussions, projects, quizzes, and tests.
