IEW Middle/High School (“IEW 6-9”) – Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons
Instructor: Mrs. Crystal C. McCall, Accredited IEW Instructor
Monthly Cost(s): $35
Materials Fee: $39
Prerequisite: Former students receive priority seating.
Supplies and Books required: 1” 3-ring binder, with four separate tabs for Current Work, Completed Work, Resources, and paper.
I prefer students use pens in class because they write more easily and require less pressure…and they rarely break.
Curriculum used is IEW’s Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons, fifth edition, 2019. I will purchase this for you with your materials fee.
Course Description: This class is a logical next class for students who took IEW’s Modern World History-Based Writing Lessons the prior year as well as middle school students who were in IEW 2nd year, Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons.
If you have a middle school student who has never taken IEW before, this can also be a great place for students to start formal writing instruction if parents are committed to helping them at home. Consistent parental involvement and communication with me are extremely important for students to make progress in their writing skills in this class.
Students will develop their skill with the Structure and Style Writing Method while learning about interesting, important people and events in world history.
