We will go through each of the main speech writing types; ceremonial, demonstrative, informative and persuasive speaking. Each student will work on selecting, researching, organizing and writing speeches to convey the intended messages. This will prepare students for many different parts of life! Everyone needs to be able to effectively communicate, what better way to do this than in a small supportive classroom environment. They will also learn the importance of listening skills and how to be supportive of others to make this a place where each feels safe to speak, grow and expand comfort zones together. We want to well equip these students for the many facets of public speaking they will have to do throughout life!
