Course Description:STEM is a fun hands-on experiment class that incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Instead of the traditional way of learning where each subject area is taught in isolation, STEM allows these subjects to be integrated together in a practical hands-on environment. Each week students will work on a hands-on project usually in a group of 3-4 people. Some lessons will be individually completed and taken home, but the students will still work in a group if they choose so. Example lessons include: density tower, solar ovens, air-propelled rockets, circuit cards, and more! There will be no work assigned outside of class.
This class will be learning the same topic as the 1st-3rd grade class, but will go much more in-depth. IE: If Density is being taught, these 3rd- 6th grade students will also be taught the formula for density and how it is calculated.
