Course Description: We will be learning how to apply Algebra concepts to everyday life including: income, personal budgeting, borrowing money, maintaining a home, life and health insurance, vacation, transportation, food, clothing and other practical math-based topics.
Students' grades will be calculated based on the following: homework assignments, quizzes, and projects. Projects will include vacation vision boards, planning a meal plan and budget, online clothes shopping, making a budget, balancing a checkbook, finding the difference between used auto values and new auto values and more.
Grades, assignments and communications will be conducted through Google Classroom. Students are required to have an email address and be able to check it regularly for assignments and grades. Students will also be required to have access to the internet and print projects and homework assignments.
