Course Description:Creative Expressions will provide students with unique opportunities to explore the world of Art through artistic creative self-expression while focusing on individual mastery of a variety of mediums and materials. Students will complete projects each week based upon the selected theme. Along the way we will learn about famous artists and see how they utilize these elements and principles in their art pieces. The course is designed to allow students to explore a range of techniques, styles, and mediums (paints, oil pastels, clay, etc) all while learning to express themselves in fun and creative ways. The elementary class will also have a major focus on learning the seven primary elements of art (line, shape, color, value, texture, form, and space).
