Course Description: Introduction to spoken and written Spanish.
This course is for students with a little or no Spanish knowledge. Introduction to Spanish comprehension, pronunciation, phonics and grammar to include basic verbs, adjectives, reading and writing sentences.
Objective: To introduce the student to the Spanish Language.
Students will be encouraged to speak a greater amount of Spanish in the classroom throughout the school term. We incorporate Geography, History and a lot of Hispanic Cultures and traditions. Students will be able to identify Spanish speaking countries on the American Continents. This class is ideal for students who would like to be immersed in the Spanish language.
I was born, raised and educated in Mexico and moved to this country years ago, so the Spanish I teach is the Spanish that can be understood in all Spanish speaking countries. This is not Spanish from Spain nor Spanish from GOOGLE.
I use a lot of DRAMA (acting) and a lot of hands-on subjects such as clothes, pictures, candies, food, flags and games in order to make learning Spanish easier and to keep the students engaged. I need lots of parent participation/supervision to help your student research the internet and to be sure he or she is practicing the new Spanish words learned during the week
