Course Description:
Come join us as we take a walk through some of literature’s most-loved stories! This is a great introduction to studying literature and learning about literary terms and themes. We will read 5 books over the course of the year: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Black Beauty, Treasure Island, and Charlotte’s Web. The class will consist of weekly discussions, themed games, and a lapbook for each book that we will add to weekly. We will celebrate the novels read with a character book day at the end of the year. Students should be able to read the selections either independently or with the help of a parent.
