Students/parents must purchase this license on their own before the start of class. Please do not purchase this software immediately. Wait for an email from the teacher to let you know when to purchase. Parents will be responsible for canceling their subscription at the end of the year if they do not want to be charged for another year by Adobe.
Hardware Requirements:
A laptop capable of running Adobe Creative Cloud is required for this course.

Course Description:
This class is an introduction to Graphic Design and provides insight into the types of projects entry-level designers work on. The course objective will be to develop an entry-level understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. We will begin with the basics of Photoshop, how to work with a photograph, remove objects, insert new ones, selection processes and color correction. Then we will move on to Adobe Illustrator, learning the basics of how to draw vector line work, trace and colorize sketches. The course will culminate with a logo assignment done to full professional standards inserted into an ad mock-up created in Photoshop.
Ed is a 20+ year veteran of the design industry having run his own agency and completed over 150 web design projects from small businesses up to Fortune 1000 companies. He is also a former professor of graphic design having taught at the university level for 16 years.
