Research conducted by Harvard University and Stanford Research Center have concluded that 85% of job success comes from having well‐developed soft skills and people skills, and only 15% of job success comes from technical skills. In this class we will work to develop those “Soft skills” as well as diving into in a Christian, well rounded approach to succeeding through money management, communication, self-motivation and learning one’s own skills.
This Class will be diving into both Personal Finance and Personal Development. Each week we will be covering topics from both. The entire Foundations in Person Finance by Dave Ramsey course will be covered, each week we will watch lessons and cover the workbook. Also, the students will read through: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and How To Win Friends and Influence People, one each semester with the chapters discussed each week. This class will cover a variety of topics such as: people skills, job interview skills, priorities, and the basics of good communication.
Together the Personal Finance and Personal Development aspects done both in class and at home
are a total of 135 Hours-
1 Elective Credit or Social Studies Credit
Also, meets Standards for the .5 Credit of Personal Finance often required by colleges.
