Supply Requirements: Students must bring a fully working computer to class every week with a battery to last the entire hour, or a power adapter. Use Windows 10/11 or Intel-powered Chromebooks. Check the class website for more information.
Course Description: For students with computer skills and an interest in learning how they really work, this class will teach basic programming and software development skills through web technologies as we discover the rewarding and challenging world of coding. We will dive deep into how computers and programs work, learn to code a web site, create some games, and use industry-standard tools on the way. We also work on our typing skills and other core computer concepts throughout the year, and everything needed to open up the world of software development and professional programming.
Nathan has been writing software for over 25 years and has built applications for Boeing, Disney, Wyndham, and countless others, has spoken at conferences, and currently leads software development teams in Boeing’s IT department.
