Course Description: Public speaking is a part of life. Everyone needs to be able to effectively communicate. What better way to do this than in a small supportive classroom environment!
We will learn tips, techniques and overcome fears in this fun and engaging class!
Also, this course will go through each of the main speech writing types; ceremonial, demonstrative, informative, and persuasive speaking. Each student will work on selecting, researching, organizing, and writing speeches to convey the intended messages. They will also learn the importance of listening skills and how to be supportive of others to make this a place where each feels safe to speak, grow, and expand comfort zones together. This class will help equip students for the many facets of public speaking they will encounter throughout life!
